TikTok Famous Style

Gigi Hadid is already setting the tone for summer fashion in 2025 with her vibrant and trend savvy style. Since being named Havaianas' global ambassador in March, she’s seamlessly merged her laid back “beach kid” aesthetic with runway ready polish and her latest look proves it.

On May 28, just as her 39 piece Havaianas capsule collection went live, Hadid was spotted outside Altro Paradiso in SoHo showcasing a curated blend of seasonal essentials. Her look was playful, polished, and packed with nods to current fashion favorites.

  • Bag of the Moment  Instead of the viral lobster shaped handbag, Hadid opted for Staud’s colorful Timmy Bag, a cheerful beaded piece drawing inspiration from the beloved Tommy Bag a cult favorite for two years and counting.
  • Core Summer Dress She wore a white tweed shift dress from Marc Jacobs, elevated with multicolored gem embellishments that added just the right amount of sparkle and quirk.
  • Bold Footwear Choice In true ambassador fashion, she anchored the look with $20 yellow Havaianas flip flops casual, bright, and beachy even amid NYC’s rainy streets.
Altogether, Hadid’s outfit was a masterclass in high low styling and early summer trend forecasting. Between the nostalgic accessories, statement sandals, and that effortlessly glam mini dress, she’s officially confirmed: flip flops are fashion again.

Always on board for bold accessories, Hadid channeled the Y2K aesthetic with colorful accents. Alongside her conversation starter shoes, the 30 year old popped on a duo of anklets. Over the past year, the model has endorsed the anklet renaissance on multiple occasions, including at the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere in July 2024. This time, she chose a pastel pair that looked like it could've been made during a beach day. The beads stretched onto her wrists, where she coordinated burgundy bracelets with oversized bangles. Complete with mismatched jewels, Hadid's dangly drop earrings were just as vivid as her bag.
If you've tried to secure your own beaded bag from Staud, you know they're never in stock for long. However, Hadid's exact style is still available to shop, believe it or not. Add her Timmy bag to your cart, before the lobster purse devotees get their hands on it. Extra points if you pair it with her Havaianas.

The Allure of Chicago
Chicago’s 77 neighborhoods are home to world class museums, restaurants, hotels, and shopping, making it a diverse destination to explore. “We are the home of two international airports including O’Hare, the most connected airport in the world,” says Nucci. “Last year, we saw 1.8 million international visitors, 27% more than 2022, and that number continues to grow this year. She adds that out of 50.1 million domestic visitors, 13.2 million traveled for business and 36.9 million for leisure. “One of the main ways we welcome first time visitors is through conventions and other meetings,” says Nucci. “Last year, we welcomed over 2 million visitors for meetings and conventions, many of them international visitors and many here for the first time. With the largest and most flexible convention center in North America, Chicago is well suited to host conventions of all sizes and profiles.”
Repeat visitors are a key demographic to tourism. “It is on a repeat trip that travelers often have the opportunity to really delve into the off the beaten path gems of a city and discover the authentic experience of locals,” says Nucci. “This benefits Chicago, as we are a city rich in authentic attractions and amenities that will take multiple trips to experience fully.” She also notes that these repeat visitors become ambassadors for the city in turn selling Chicago to their friends, family, and colleagues.
Chicago by the Numbers
Chicago’s tourism boom is showing no signs of slowing down! The increase in hotel occupancy, record breaking revenues, and rising international visitors especially from Canada highlight the city's growing appeal. The surge in repeat visitors and new travelers alike is clearly driving economic benefits, from hotel stays to city tax revenue. Events like Lollapalooza, the NASCAR Chicago Street Race, and major conventions likely played a big role in these numbers.
